Advance Dance was established in 1997 to promote the Royal New Zealand Ballet, with a particular focus on fostering interest and support for the Company in Auckland. Advance Dance Guild partners two Royal New Zealand Ballet dancers - Sir Jon Trimmer KNZM MBE and Lucy Balfour.
The Guild welcomes interest from potential new members who may wish to contribute energy and creativity to our fundraising activities. Over the years, we have presented a wide variety of creative events, including a Dracula cocktail party, a Last Tango in Auckland dance, and a Reception featuring Romeo & Juliet at Government House hosted by the Governor-General.
In 2007, the Guild's tenth anniversary was celebrated with a vintage costume show called - Tutus, Tulle and Temptations.
