Matthew was born in 1990 in Australia, in a small country town
called Cooma in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales. It was here
that he started his dance training at Rosie O'Sullivan's School of
Dance. At the age of 16 he moved to Sydney to join the Talent
Development High School and went on to complete the Brent Street
full time ballet and contemporary course under Christine Keith. In
2009 he travelled to New York City to join the Joffrey Ballet
School. In the two years he was with the school he performed
throughout New York and toured with the Joffrey Studio Company. In
June 2012 he joined the RNZB. Some highlights of Matthew's career
include performing works by Robert Joffrey, Balanchine, Gerald
Arpino and working with the Boston Ballet Company.
