Sara Havener
Sara was born in North Carolina, US and took her first dance
lesson at the age of five. She trained at University of North
Carolina School of the Arts, receiving her High School Diploma in
2010 and the UNC School of Dance Certificate of Excellence in 2006,
2007, and 2010. Sara was also a scholarship recipient at the Jacobs
Pillow Ballet Summer Program, where she studied under the direction
of Anna-Marie Holmes, Kee-Juan Han, Nina Ananiashvili, Karole
Armitage and Adam Sklute.
Career highlights include performing in Antony Tudor's
Little Improvisations, a variation from Paquita
and the Cupid Variation from Don Quixote with Ballet
Adriatico in Ascoli Piceno, Italy.
Sara's first season with Royal New Zealand Ballet was
Stravinsky Selection in 2011 and this was followed by
performances as the Orange Fairy in The Meridian Season of The
Sleeping Beauty.
