Greg Horsman - Ballet Master
Greg Horsman began his dance training in Geelong, Australia,
completing his formal training at the Victorian College of the
Arts. In 1982 he joined The Australian Ballet, rising through the
ranks to Principal Artist in 1987.
He joined English National Ballet as Senior Principal in 1994,
creating roles such as the Prince in Michael Corder's
Cinderella, the Mad Hatter in Derek Deane's Alice in
Wonderland and starred in Derek Deane's spectacular Arena
Production tours of Swan Lake and Romeo &
Juliet around the world.
He has danced all the classical repertoire as well as
contemporary works, and has worked with some of the finest
choreographers including the late Sir Kenneth MacMillan, Glen
Tetley, Jiří Kylián and Maurice Béjart. Greg has been a Guest
Principal with the Kirov Ballet, Royal Danish Ballet, Houston
Ballet, Boston Ballet, Bayerische Staatsballett and Tokyo Ballet,
and appeared on Rudolf Nureyev's Farewell Tour of Australia.
Greg was Artistic Director for Ballet Central at London's
Central School of Ballet then Ballet Master with Northern Ballet
Theatre, then returned to English National Ballet as Ballet Master
and Repetiteur. He has been guest teacher throughout Europe and
Australia.
