Nicholas Giles-Palmer - Company Class Pianist
Nicholas Giles-Palmer's career spans 30 years, working with many
talented and well-known artists including the
former RNZB Artistic Director, Harry Haythorne, in the early
1980s and Xu Ding Zhong from the Beijing Academy of
Dance. Nicholas has composed several works for dance, working
with Nicholas Carroll (Australia), Patricia Rianne (Britain), Anne
Dewey (New Zealand), and Geordan Wilcox. Other works include a set
of art songs using lyrics by Rosalie Carey. Outside of the
ballet, Nicholas performs regularly for the NZ Film
Archive playing piano for silent film. His latest silent
film to accompany isUpstreamdirected by John Ford.
