Dimitri Kleioris

An Australian of Greek and Maltese heritage, Dimitri took his first dance lessons in jazz and tap at the age of six, later taking up classical ballet. He graduated from The Australian Ballet School in 2010 and joined RNZB in the same year.

In 2011, Dimitri played the role of the Arabian Prince in The Meridian Season of The Sleeping Beauty and of his role in TOWER Tutus on Tour’s Pinnochio the Manawatu Standard commended Dimitri on the “athleticism required for the arrogant and destructive Lampwick.”

Dimitri’s favourite production is Graeme Murphy’s acclaimed Swan Lake. He has played the role of a sailor in Murphy’s The Nutcracker and the role of Jaschiu in Opera Australia’s production of Death in Venice choreographed by Meryl Tankard. In his spare time Dimitri enjoys yoga, going out for breakfast and watching interesting movies.
