Jacob Chown graduated from The Australian Ballet School and, like his brother Benjamin who is also a Royal New Zealand Ballet artist, Jacob is a former Western Australia state trampoline champion.
In his first year with the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2006, Jacob toured throughout New Zealand with The Wedding, and with Trinity he got to visit Sydney and Brisbane for the first time. Highlights include dancing in the Pas De Six in Giselle and the Housework 06 choreographic season for Royal New Zealand Ballet dancers. Last year Jacob performed the roles of Shoe Maker and Silkmoth in Cinderella. Jacob loves surfing, skate boarding, break-dancing and circus arts.
