Jaered Glavin

Born in England, Jaered grew up in the country in West Sussex. His interest in ballet was evident very early on – in fact, he started dance lessons when he was just two years old. When he was 11, he started at Elmhurst Ballet School before joining the Royal Ballet School at 14.

Last year he won 2nd prize in the school’s choreographic competition. He was a finalist in the Young British Dancer of the Year competition following his performances with the Royal Ballet in La Bayadere and Sleeping Beauty.

Jaered is one of the newest members of the Royal New Zealand Ballet – he joined the company in September.

When he’s not performing, Jaered enjoys going out with friends, shopping and watching movies.
