Maree White

Maree White joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet for the 2006 production of Giselle, dancing the role of Queen of the Wilis. At 16, the Cairns native received a scholarship to study at the Vienna State Opera Ballet School and danced with the Vienna State Opera. Its then director, Renato Zenella, choreographed the solo Power Spot for her entry at the Prix de Lausanne in 1998, where she was a semi finalist.

For six years Maree was a soloist at the Deutsche Oper Am Rhein in Dusseldorf receiving her first solo role only a year after being with the company. She has worked with many renowned choreographers including John Neumeier, Yuri Vamos, Christopher Bruce and Hans van Manen.
