Rowan Cann graduated from The Australian Ballet School in 2002, joined the Royal New Zealand Ballet in 2003 and later that year, danced the role of Michael in Peter Pan.
With New Zealand male ballet dancers in short supply, Rowan says there was never any doubt that he would return home after completing his training. Rowan has been praised for his performances in Si Supieras and Verge from the 2005 Tutus On Tour season, and for his hilarious Merliton moves with crutches and leg plaster in The Nutcracker. Last year the 24 year old Aucklander performed the role of Silkmoth in Cinderella with "superb elevation".
