Abhisheka

Inspired by ceremonial cleansing rites, Abhisheka flows eloquently from John Psathas' score in deep, hypnotic ways. The work is abstract in form and mesmeric in effect. Dancers pour through the set's gold walls in costumes coloured the creams of ghee, coconut milk and pitch black.
